Frequently asked questions

Can I read without internet?

Yes. The Arabic text, Pickthall English translation, search and bookmarks work offline. Optional tips require Apple or Google Play connectivity; ads may need a connection.

How do I find a verse?

Open Browse to see surahs, juz and saved verses. Search by Arabic or English text, or enter a reference such as 2:255.

Why does a long verse scroll instead of changing verses?

When the text fits, swipe up or down to change verses. If it is longer than the screen, scroll the text inside its Arabic or English tab, then use Previous or Next to move to another verse. Swiping from a fitting English verse keeps English selected.

Can I change the font or appearance?

Settings lets you adjust Arabic text size and choose system, light or dark appearance. English text size is fixed in the current release.

Where are saved verses stored?

On your device. iOS backups may include app data; Android cloud backup is disabled, though device-to-device transfer can depend on Android version. Clearing app data or uninstalling removes bookmarks and progress.

How do ads and privacy choices work?

Google banners may appear on Scroll, Browse and Settings, never in Tip jar. Where required, Google's consent form appears before ad requests. Settings → Ad privacy choices is available in regions where Google requires it. Reading works even if no ad loads.

What does a tip buy?

Tips are optional consumable purchases. They do not unlock content, remove ads or start a subscription. If tips are unavailable, products may not be configured in your store or you may be offline. For a billing issue, email us with your platform and order ID, not card details.

How do I report a Quran text issue?

Use Settings → Report a text error on Android, or email ali@yoraba.com. Include the surah and verse reference. The Arabic source is bundled verbatim; any correction must be checked against the licensed text.

Arabic Quran text and Pickthall English are sourced via the Tanzil Project; the Arabic font is Amiri Quran (SIL OFL 1.1). Details are in the app's Settings. Read the Privacy Policy or return to the app page.
