Islamic Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 19, 2026
Overview
Islamic ("we", "the app") is published by Yoraba. It is a prayer times, Qibla, Quran and Ramadan app with no account and no backend operated by us. This policy describes how the app handles information on iOS and Android. There are no analytics SDKs. Your data stays on your device, except for map, geocoding and advertising traffic described below.
Information stored on your device
The following are stored locally only. We never receive them. Delete them by clearing the app's data or uninstalling.
- Your chosen place and calculation settings
- Quran bookmarks and last-read position
- Tasbih counts and history
- Zakat calculator inputs and results
- Fasting marks, calendar notes and reminders
- Hajj, Umrah and Janazah checklist progress and notes
Location
If you allow it, the app reads your approximate or precise location to calculate prayer times and the Qibla direction. This happens on your device and the coordinates are not sent to us. You can deny permission and search for a city instead.
Notifications
Prayer, Azan, Suhoor, Iftar and calendar reminders are scheduled on your device. On Android the app uses exact alarms and a boot receiver so reminders can survive a restart after you grant the related permissions.
Network use
- Mosque finder and maps: the search area is sent to a map service to find mosques and draw the map (Apple Maps on iPhone and iPad; OpenStreetMap on Android).
- City search: the city name you type is sent to your platform's geocoding service.
- Prayer times, Qibla bearing, Quran, Ramadan, Calendar, Tasbih and Zakat work offline.
Advertising and consent
Free versions show banner ads from Google AdMob on the Home, Prayer, Tools, and More tabs. Ads are not shown in the Quran, in the Tip Jar, or inside individual tools. Any one-time tip in the Tip Jar removes ads.
Where required by law or platform policy, the app shows Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) before requesting ads. On iPhone and iPad you may also see Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. When the app offers it, you can reopen ad privacy choices from Settings → Ad privacy choices.
AdMob may collect your device advertising identifier, ad interactions and diagnostics according to Google's ads policy and your device settings. You can limit personalised ads:
Purchases
The Tip Jar offers four one-time tips (Coffee, Cake, Lunch, Feast). Any tip removes ads. Purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we do not receive your payment card details. The platform shares purchase entitlement with the app so it can remove ads.
What we do not do
- No account or sign-in
- No analytics SDKs
- No selling of your data
- No tracking across other companies' apps
Children's privacy
Islamic is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the app's data practices change. The "Last updated" date will change. Continued use of the app after updates means you accept the changes.
